Job Summary
Minimum of 3 years Small Engine Experience.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Small Engine Technician to join our team. This role involves working with various types of equipment, including lawn mowers, chainsaws, and other small machinery. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair small engines, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups.
- Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand engine systems and components.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
- Assist in sales by recommending additional services or products based on customer needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic specializing in small engines.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment related to engine repair.
- Knowledge of automotive repair principles and vehicle maintenance practices.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting purposes.
- Welding skills are a plus for certain repair tasks.
- Previous experience in a dealership setting is advantageous but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- A detail-oriented approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
