About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and "social-native" Social Media Coordinator to handle the day-to-day pulse of two unique brands. This is an entry-level role designed for someone who lives on social media and understands that every comment or DM is an opportunity to build brand loyalty.
You will be the eyes and ears of our clients’ communities—not just "checking boxes," but actively listening, engaging, and translating what you see into actionable insights for our internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement & Moderation
- Active Monitoring: Daily management of Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. You are the first line of responses for comments, mentions, and DMs.
- Brand Voice: Respond to the community in a way that feels human and strictly aligns with each brand’s specific "persona."
- Guardianship: Moderate content by hiding spam or inappropriate comments and escalating sensitive or high-priority inquiries (customer service issues, PR risks) to the right internal leads immediately.
- Content Deployment: Assist in the tactical posting of editorial calendars and content across platforms.
Reporting & Insights
- Weekly Recaps: Use existing templates to create client-facing community reports.
- The "So What": Send a weekly internal email that doesn't just list data, but highlights trends, recurring complaints, or "wins" within the communities of the two brands.
- Trend Spotting: Flag emerging memes, sounds, or conversations that our brands could authentically join.
Qualifications
- Writing Polish: Exceptional written communication skills. You must be able to switch between different "voices" effortlessly and have a sharp eye for grammar.
- Social Fluency: You have a deep, personal understanding of how people talk on TikTok vs. Facebook vs. Instagram.
- Synthesis: The ability to take a week’s worth of comments and summarize them into a few clear, concise takeaways.
- Reliability: Since this role involves Saturday coverage and specific daily windows, we need someone who is disciplined and highly responsive.
- Professionalism: The ability to remain calm and professional when handling negative or "troll" interactions.
- Nice to Have:
- Internship experience at an agency or with a brand.
- Familiarity with tools like Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or Canva.
- Experience creating simple, clean reports in Google Slides or PowerPoint.
- Basic understanding of social media analytics or sentiment tracking.
