Position Overview The Social Media Specialist, Military Division, serves as the strategic lead for all military and veteran‑focused social media initiatives. This role is responsible for developing audience strategies and monitoring lead performance metrics. This role ensures that all messaging aligns with applicable VA loan guidelines and compliance standards. The Social Media Specialist, Military Division, works closely with the Sr. Director of Marketing and Marketing Manager to create content that translates strategic direction into effective, on‑brand, compliant, and results‑driven social media execution. Job Responsibilities Define the messaging strategy for service members, veterans, and military spouses. Research and identify key needs, challenges, and topics that resonate with military and veteran audiences related to VA loan programs. Translate VA loan benefits and underwriting concepts into clear, audience‑friendly messaging. Manage Facebook/Instagram posts and messaging, targeting military and veteran audiences. Set campaign objectives, KPIs, and audience segments. Identify military and veteran social media influencers. Coordinate influencer content, incentives, and campaign timelines. Build relationships with military communities online and manage community engagement strategy. Ensure all military‑focused messaging aligns with mortgage/VA loan compliance. Collaborate with loan officers and underwriting to verify accuracy of VA loan content. Maintain brand and compliance guidelines for campaigns and influencer partnerships. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including lead volume, conversion rates, CTR, CPC, cost per lead, and ROI; optimize campaigns continuously. Develop and maintain weekly and monthly reports on campaign performance and lead attribution. Recommend strategy changes based on data and audience feedback. Provide clear direction on content needs, angles, and campaign requirements. Share campaign briefs, scripts, and messaging guidance for content creation. Review drafts and provide feedback to ensure alignment with strategy and compliance. Create and schedule all content on all platforms and monitor performance. Qualifications and Skills 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media strategy, paid social, or influencer marketing. Military or veteran experience is a plus but not required. Experience in mortgage, VA loans, real estate, financial services, or military recruiting, preferred. Advanced understanding of targeting and engaging military and veteran audiences. Familiarity with CRM workflows and lead tracking (e.g., Airtable, HubSpot, or similar). Familiarity with VA loan basics, underwriting, and compliance, preferred. Knowledge of AI tools for marketing automation and workflow optimization, preferred. Skilled in written communication and effective collaboration across marketing, loan officers, and underwriting teams. Skilled in using data and analytics to evaluate campaign performance and inform optimization strategies.
