Social Services Inspector
Annual Salary:
Basic purpose: Positions in this job family are assigned responsibility for conducting internal and external audits and field investigations and performing federally or state-mandated quality control audits to evaluate the effectiveness of agency programs. Some positions will perform follow-up reviews and advocate for clients and program changes. Duties include investigating welfare fraud and employee violations of agency policy, regulations, and applicable state and federal laws. Some positions in this job family will conduct investigations and inquiries to protect the rights of clients, act as a client advocate, and file grievances on behalf of clients.

- Level II H22B OCA - $43,968.62 +

Minimum Qualifications:
Social Services Inspector, Level I
- A bachelors degree and two years of professional experience in investigation, auditing, social work, juvenile justice, personnel administration, law enforcement or child support enforcement, working with persons with intellectual disabilities
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- A bachelors degree and three years of professional experience in investigation, auditing, social work, juvenile justice, personnel administration, law enforcement or child support enforcement, working with persons with intellectual disabilities
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Conduct Investigations of maltreatment of children in placements above foster care including group homes, shelters, detention centers, residential treatment and acute hospitalization, day treatment and agency companion homes
- Obtain all necessary information, interviews, and documentation to support the investigation and input into the KIDS Database and On Base
- Conduct necessary post investigation activities
- Be available for on call rotation and respond to after hours and weekend priority investigations
