Flexible Work Policy: The work for the Software Asset Manager position is completely 100% remote anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories.  This position may have the potential to travel up to 20% dependent on business needs.RESPONSIBILITIES  • Works with various departments and teams within an organization to identify the software needs of each department and to determine the most suitable software solutions to meet those needs.• Responsible for negotiating license agreements with software vendors to ensure that the organization has the appropriate rights to use software in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and contractual terms.• Manages the organization's software inventory, ensuring that software is organized and tracked effectively, and that licenses and maintenance contracts are up to date.• Leads the monitoring effort for software usage to ensure compliance with license agreements and to identify any potential licensing issues.• Ensures that software is properly disposed of in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, including the removal of software from devices that are no longer in use.• Developing policies and procedures: The Software Asset Manager is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures related to the acquisition, organization, and disposal of software assets, and for ensuring that these policies and procedures are followed by all employees in the organization.• Provides technical subject matter expertise to senior leaders.• Special projects as needed.• An entrepreneurial drive, with the ability to deconstruct and solve problems, to investigate drivers, and figure out why things happen.SUPERVISION:• Individual ContributorRELATIONSHIPS• Internal: EVP - CIDO, ITLT – Multiple SVP’s, VP’s, Sr.Dr’s, Dr’s, Corporate FP&A, and Controller’s Team• External: work with multiple vendorsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS• Minimum 6 years of asset management experience.• Minimum 2 years management experience• Excellent communications skills and ability to present / influence senior leadership.• Strong financial understanding through experience or education.• Strong analytical and leadership capability.  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and stake holders.• < 5% travel may be required at times.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Experience in setting up policies and procedures in a dynamic environment.• Proven execution of large scale and complex projects• Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)• Experience with Xensam or a similar Software Asset Management tool desired• Demonstrated strong analytical, process mindset, problem solving, and data acumen• Attention to accuracy and execution is a must• Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment• Excellent time management and project management skills• Strong ability to work with both business and technology stakeholdersEducation• BA/BS in business, finance, or related field, OR equivalent work experience. The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.  In California, the expected compensation for this role is between $90,000 and $120,000.  In Connecticut, the expected compensation for this role is between $94,700 and $126,300. In Colorado, the expected compensation for this role is between $80,300 and $107,100. In Maryland, the expected compensation for this role is between $85,100 and $113,400.   In Minnesota, the expected compensation for this role is between $80,300 and $107,100. In New York, the expected compensation for this role is between $94,700 and $126,300. In Rhode Island, the expected compensation for this role is between $85,100 and $113,400.
