Software Development Engineer IV

Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their team. As a Software Development Engineer IV-, you will be part of the Software Engineering Department supporting the Security and Application Development teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to security and coding challenges, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Software Development Engineer Location: Greenwood Village, CO or Berkley Heights, NY (5 days onsite every week - Need Local) Pay Range: $80 Visa Sponsorship not available What's the Job? Design, develop, and maintain secure Java applications and microservices. Lead efforts in scanning and resolving application security vulnerabilities using tools like Sonatype, Fortify, and Web Inspect. Collaborate with security teams to communicate vulnerability scan results and implement necessary fixes. Support and enhance existing systems, ensuring adherence to security and coding standards. Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and ticket management using AZDO or similar tools. What's Needed? Minimum of 6-7 years of Java development experience with a passion for coding. Proficiency in Java (JDK 21 and Java 8 output), Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture. Experience with application security scanning tools such as Sonatype, Fortify, and Web Inspect. Familiarity with agile ticketing systems like AZDO or similar. Strong understanding of SQL and experience working with cloud platforms like Azure is a plus. What's in it for me?
