As part of the Research and Development function, the overall focus of the group is on competitive market and customer requirements, technology advances and innovation, product quality, product cost, and time-to-market. Software engineers in this organization leverage their technical strengths and teamwork skills via collaboration with Cloud partners and internal Engineering partners. Job Requirements Develop a strong technical understanding of NetApp's existing data management and storage solutions in the Cloud, their interdependencies, and limitations. Participate in all phases of the product development cycle including product design and development, test automation, debugging and support, and supporting resolution of impactful customer issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Education Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development and cloud engineering. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C/C++ or equivalent, and additionally, Python. Strong hands-on operational knowledge in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or OCI). Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, services, and best practices. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills, and collaboration skills are a must. Ability to work with limited supervision and operate and drive results independently. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in software development of distributed data management systems (E.g.: NetApp ONTAP or similar systems). Advanced certifications in AWS, GCP, or OCI. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Experience with Cloud monitoring and logging tools. Compensation: The target salary range for this position is 147,900 - 220,000 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings' (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's).
