Summary:
-
Design, develop, test, and maintain software across the end-to-end lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards.
-
Review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial software product designs.
-
Develop, maintain, enhance, and optimize software products and functionalities for system integrations.
-
Develop, document, and maintain software architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs.
-
Participate in agile software development lifecycle activities, including planning, reviews, and customer meetings.
-
Debug and resolve issues to ensure software reliability and efficiency.
-
Handle user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze user feedback.
-
Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes relevant to software development.
-
Develop, monitor, and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics aligned with organizational goals and industry benchmarks.
-
Execute and document software research and development projects.
-
Advise on software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations.
-
Perform software project management and supplier management activities.
-
Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards.

Open to candidates at various experience levels, including Experienced and Senior Software Engineers.

Requirements:
-
Requires an active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance (or a U.S. Security Clearance active within the past 24 months)
-
Advanced technical education in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) plus typically 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination (e.g., PhD, Master + 3 years).

3+ years of Java coding and unit testing, including Spring Framework.
-
3+ years of Python scripting.
-
3+ years of software development experience using agile principles and structured development processes.
-
Appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience required.
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Skills:
-
Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

Experience with IntelliJ IDE, Linux CLI, CM tools, JMS, SOAP/REST Web Services, MySQL, Jenkins, AWS, and Docker.

Experience in command-and-control applications, orbital analysis software/tools, and performance-critical applications.
-
Knowledge of host environments, including processors, operating systems, and networks; ability to build, integrate, and troubleshoot software components.

Knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies; ability to synthesize architectures that meet requirements, characteristics, and constraints.

Understanding of software development processes in compliance with internal and industry standards, guidelines, and best practices.

Knowledge of software implementation, validation, and verification processes to ensure quality, performance, and safety.

ABET accreditation preferred, but not required.
