As part of one of Renesas’s most prominent Power Management Groups, you will develop Software to support leading data centre operators and infrastructure hardware developers as they deploy our digital power control devices. What we need The software team is seeking a Software Engineer to work within a SoC development team, producing customer facing software that enables IC product capabilities. The position demands interfacing with IC and firmware designers and collaborating with marketing teams to present the IC products intuitively. As part of Renesas’s fastest growing product lines, you will directly impact customer experience through software that showcases feature‑rich hardware. We’re looking for problem‑solvers comfortable working across hardware/software boundaries in multiple languages and platforms. What You’ll do Develop, test, and maintain software for customers and internal teams. Collaborate with customers, application engineers, system engineers, hardware engineers, and firmware engineers. Contribute to both existing and new projects using Python , Java, React, JavaFx, and Kotlin. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering. 2-5 years of software development experience. Strong proficiency in Python and Java. Working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, or React. Strong understanding of software architecture, design principles, behaviour‑driven development, and unit testing. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Effective cross‑cultural communication skills: ability to work transparently with international teams, seek clarification proactively, and communicate clearly across functional boundaries. Preferred Qualifications Experience with electronics fundamentals, microcontroller programming, and bus communications. Experience with DevOps tools including JIRA, Confluence, and GitLab. Track record of creative problem‑solving beyond conventional approaches.
