Title: Software Engineer

Location: Hazelwood, MO and they will reconsider relocation candidates but will not help in relocation costs

Onsite may be hybrid but go with 5 days week in office for now.

Must have a Secret Clearance to start

Duration: 6+ Months

There will be 8 positions all will convert to FTE

They provide Missile Guidance - this is a critical role in government success. Tomahawk software code from late 80s needs to be updated to present language.

They are looking to move away from Fortran or Ada - old software to newer: VB.Net / C++.

It is a 3 year period of performance but are only funded as one year

They do need secret level clearance and work must be done on site, they can augment that with a 4 day 10 hours a day effort (9x80) This is in Hazelwood, MO

Job Description:

- Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.

- Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.

- Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.

- Performs software project management and software supplier management functions.

- Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metrics.

- Executes and documents software research and development projects.

- Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.

- Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.

- Works under general direction.

Develop and maintain code, unit test and integrate software components into the TMP system

Develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, interfaces, designs and algorithms for TMP system

Collaborate with software development team to share expertise and knowledge

Provides technical solutions for a diverse range of challenges

Implementation of TMP and Industry standard software processes

Collaboration with and provide guidance to less experienced team members

What are the Top 3-5 Skills needed to perform this role/job?

2+ years' experience with VB.Net

2+ years' SQL

Proficiency in C++

Experience in all aspects of designing and implementing system architecture, requirements, software and software testing

Software skills required: VB.Net / C++, nice to have Fortran or Ada

Any certifications required? No
