Software Engineer I Responsible for software development and the maintenance of software applications associated with LivaNova’s medical product systems.
Primary Responsibilities Lead and coordinate multi‑departmental software development projects in accordance with the Product Development Procedure, Quality Policy, and Software Development Procedure.
Apply software engineering knowledge to the design and development of new products as well as product changes and enhancements.
Resolve software engineering problems at the subsystem through system level.
Conduct testing using existing test protocols or develop new ones as needed; generate written protocols and reports.
Assign work to technicians, temporary workers, and others on the project team.
Maintain accurate documentation of concepts, designs, architecture, detailed designs, interface specifications, code, code reviews, and testing.
Conduct, lead, and participate in code and design reviews.
Maintain current knowledge of competitive technologies in addition to medical, technical, and biomedical developments related to company products.
Provide software engineering and technical support of products introduced into domestic and international markets and for physician in‑service programs.
Oversee outside vendors and consultants as required.
Coordinate with Document Control, Clinical, and Quality Assurance functions to ensure Quality System compliance.
Support product complaint resolution and safety issue handling.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, clinical affairs, sales, marketing, and quality assurance to coordinate pilot production of new products.
Chair project meetings and design reviews, and perform documentation of software development as required by product development and quality procedures.
Perform other duties as may be required by management.
Minimum Qualifications BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in C#/.NET/Xamarin, C++, Windows, and Mobile Application Development.
Location & Schedule Clear Lake, TX (Southeast Houston area). Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; hybrid role.
Pay and Benefits Annual base salary estimate: $75,000 – $85,000 plus discretionary annual bonus.
