Role Overview
Join our Business Intelligence team as a full-time Software Engineer II (medior). Remote work in Central & Eastern Europe, with optional office space in Bratislava, Brno, or Prague. Salary starts at 3000 EUR gross per month, adjusted based on experience and skills.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain components that empower clients to make smart business decisions, turning complex data into actionable insights.
Design and implement APIs for data access and manipulation, and integrate GenAI / LLM models as backend services.
Collaborate with engineering teams, data scientists, and product managers for seamless integration of BI features.
Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests; implement robust logging, monitoring for KPIs, and perform code reviews with QA engineers.
Provide L3 support for client inquiries, troubleshoot backend issues, implement bug fixes and performance enhancements, document codebase and processes.
Qualifications
Proven experience in Python engineering; strong Python skills essential.
Experience with data processing, data structures, algorithms; solid understanding of software architecture principles.
Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with common data analysis and ML frameworks; understanding of ML integration.
Strong initiative, proactive problem solving.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Passion for learning new technologies and continuous improvement.
Success Timeline
30 Days: Onboard, contribute to tasks, demonstrate codebase understanding.
90 Days: Design discussions, deliver high-quality code, investigate production issues.
180 Days: Manage larger tasks, contribute to improvements, handle L3 support independently.
