Our Connected Aviation – Air Traffic Solutions-Software Engineering Department (ATS-SED) seeks a talented engineer with experience in Information Technology to develop and support air traffic control systems worldwide. We design safety‑of‑life air traffic management systems for multiple national customers and provide opportunities to learn new COTS tools, processes and methodologies. What You Will Do Configure and maintain our software development environment. Maintain documentation and work instructions needed to meet ATS SED’s high‑maturity software engineering standards and processes. Participate in the agile process including daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming and story‑pointing. Work with an integrated engineering team in a highly collaborative environment, requiring frequent multi‑level communication with engineering team members, program management and external stakeholders. Qualifications – You Must Have Degree in STEM with a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field. Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments. Experience with Linux OS tuning, patching, hardening and access control. Experience configuring, maintaining and managing software development tools, services and server installations. Experience configuring and maintaining networking routers and servers. Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash and Python. U.S. citizenship is required. Qualifications – We Prefer Experience with Agile methodologies and the Atlassian tool suite including Jira, Confluence, Bamboo and Bitbucket. Knowledge of NIST, DISA STIGs and the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Experience with the software development lifecycle using C/C++. Experience in software testing or debugging source code.
