Illinois Credit Union League is seeking a collaborative software engineer comfortable working within an established production system, focused on reliable maintenance and incremental improvements under guidance. The role centers on enhancing existing workflows, resolving customer‑facing issues, and partnering closely with the Senior Architect and Product Full Stack Developer. This role emphasizes practical improvements, operational reliability, and the steady evolution of the system, not defining new architecture. Your Mission As a Software Engineer – Product and Workflow Support, you will support customer data workflows, application operations, and ongoing platform enhancements. This position requires a strong understanding of data transformation processes, customer requirements, and cloud‑based operational practices. You will work closely with customers to understand their business needs, assist in configuring and refining automated data‑transformation templates, and help translate business requirements into reliable, scalable, and maintainable workflows that drive operational efficiency. In this role, you will collaborate with the Senior Architect and Full Stack Developer to gain a deep understanding of system architecture, APIs, deployments, and data flows across the platform. You will assist with routine operational support, troubleshooting, and system maintenance activities while developing and maintaining scripts that support data ingestion, ELT processes, and data transformations across multiple application datasets. Additionally, you will support operational workflows within Amazon Web Services (AWS), including S3 and related services, and follow established deployment procedures to maintain existing customer environments and provision new customer accounts. You will also contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation to support operational consistency and knowledge sharing across the organization. Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to security, compliance, and operational excellence by adhering to established PCI DSS and HIPAA data‑handling requirements. This role requires maintaining secure access controls, following company standards for information security, and ensuring all operational activities are conducted in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
