Catch the ride!Job DescriptionYou will join the Autodoc Corporate IT Software Engineering Organization, dedicated to supporting the business with innovative technology-driven solutions and enhancing supply chain systems.As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a team responsible for the development, deployment, monitoring, and operation of warehouse services. You will guide the evolution of Autodoc’s platform toward a scalable microservice architecture, ensuring high reliability, strong performance, and improved business efficiency.In this role, you will combine technical leadership with people management: mentoring engineers, driving engineering best practices, and ensuring the successful delivery of backend services used in the warehouse environment. You will also promote the use of modern engineering practices and AI-powered development tools to accelerate delivery, improve productivity, and maintain high-quality standards.ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Development – Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement while supporting career growth and skill development. Technical Leadership & Architecture – Guide the design and evolution of scalable backend systems and microservices supporting warehouse operations. Delivery & Execution – Ensure timely and reliable software delivery by coordinating development activities and managing priorities with agile and project planning methodologies. Platform Modernization – Drive the migration of platforms to a modern microservices architecture using technologies such as PHP, Node.js, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Docker, and Google Cloud Platform. Engineering Excellence – Promote best practices including test-driven development, automated testing, code reviews, and SOLID-based software design. Operational Reliability – Maintain service stability through monitoring, alerting, and incident management using tools such as New Relic and Grafana. Developer Productivity & AI Adoption – Promote the use of AI-powered development tools to improve code quality, efficiency, and development workflows. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in software engineering2+ years experience leading and mentoring engineers in a technical team environmentExperience designing and developing large-scale distributed systems and microservices architecturesProven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and developmentExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide teams and work cross-functionallyProven ability to engage in negotiations, manage stakeholder expectations, and deliver on commitments. Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual.
