As a Software Engineering Manager within PNC's Corporate Banking and Site Reliability Engineering Center, you will be based at one of the following IT Hubs: Phoenix, Arizona; Denver, Colorado; Dallas, Texas, Birmingham, AL; Cleveland, Ohio or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. PNC is seeking a Corporate Banking Client Interface Application Manager to lead the support, stability, modernization, and continuous improvement of critical payment platforms. This role will be responsible for leading the support, stability, modernization, and continuous improvement of mission-critical payment platforms supporting domestic, international, instant, and digital asset payments for the Pinnacle Application/Platform. Key Responsibilities: Manage and support enterprise payment applications and integrations. Lead a Global 24x7 Operation; manage distributed teams supporting critical systems around the clock. Participate in leadership escalation and on-call rotations to support major incidents, critical production events, and operational continuity. Provide after-hours operational leadership and on-call support. Participate in an on-call leadership rotation supporting critical production services, major incidents, and high-severity customer-impacting events. Availability outside standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required to support incident response, change events, escalations, and business continuity needs. Oversee application releases, change management, production implementations, and disaster recovery testing. Establish monitoring, observability, and proactive issue detection capabilities. Develop automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, security, audit, and regulatory requirements. Stakeholder Management: Act as primary liaison between business stakeholders, payment operations, vendors, and technology teams. Communicate application health, risks, incidents, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership. Collaborate with external payment networks, vendors, and clearing organizations. Required Technical Skills: Core Technologies Java / J2EE UNIX / Linux Oracle SQL and DB2 IBM MQ NDM / Connect:Direct Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs) CA7 Scheduling Elastic Search OBIEE / Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) Corporate Banking Applications Java-based microservices OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) MongoDB Kafka IBM MQ Monitoring and Operational Support Application monitoring and alerting tools Log analysis and observability platforms Performance tuning and capacity planning Incident, problem, and change management processes Leadership Expectations: Lead geographically distributed support and engineering teams. Drive operational excellence and service reliability. Mentor team members and develop payment-domain expertise. Manage vendor relationships and technology roadmaps. Handle executive communication during critical incidents and major initiatives. Champion automation, modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
