The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation application enhancements and new products for a changing world. What you’ll achieve
As a Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software based on the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.

You will:

  • Contribute to the design and architecture of high-quality, complex systems and software/storage environments
  • Prepare, review and evaluate software/storage specifications for products and systems
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of test strategies for complex software products and systems/for storage products and systems

Essential Requirements

  • Good knowledge of programming languages; operating systems; firmware; BIOS; device drivers; databases; system, network, operating system, and application administration; embedded software/firmware; tools and utilities
  • Ability to code/debug and guide others to code/debug flexible, scalable and complex programs, using either written or verbal design specifications
  • Experience with large cluster deployment, cluster management (k8s/Kubernetes, Bright cluster manager, Omnia, Slurm etc)
  • Experience with ML/AI/HPC (Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence/High Performance Computing) concepts and the applications that drive these technologies. Experience with large scale InfiniBand or ethernet and RDMA/RoCE.
  • Experience with Large Language model deployments. Strong experience with GPU performance benchmarking, and performance tuning

Desirable Requirements

  • 6 to 8 years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $170k - $220k.
