Summary of Functions The Software Project Manager I (SPM) is primarily responsible for managing medium and large, complex technology/software projects to ensure that goals are met on time, on budget and are delivered with the highest quality. The SPM I assumes overall performance responsibility for managing cross‑functional projects with responsibilities of project scope, schedule, issues, deliverables and budget. They develop and execute comprehensive project plans for new application implementations. The SPM I delegates tasks and manages resources to ensure timely rollout of project deliverables as well as handles all steps of production software release management. The SPM I manages the development backlog and prioritization of associated day‑to‑day tasks. They work closely with the Director, Software Engineering, Chief Operating Officer/Chief Information Officer (COO/CIO), and the software development team to accomplish goals and project objectives. Duties & Responsibilities 1. Effectively maintain and build relationships with external business partners and internal department stakeholders. Become a subject matter expert with a deep understanding of each project being managed. 2. Expert knowledge in project management with experience managing multiple complex projects, schedules, budgets, scope and performance analytics in a fast paced and dynamic environment (both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum). 3. Responsible for cross‑functional activities to ensure all external organizations and internal departments are involved. 4. Support Business Analyst, Quality Assurance, and Engineering duties by ensuring associated SDLC activities are completed timely. 5. Set up and lead stakeholder and project meetings, drive action items, and ensure deadlines are assigned and met. 6. Manage third party suppliers and partners to ensure timely completion of tasks. Serves as the primary point of contact for the project to the IT Management team, working with all project teams (Dev, QA, Operations, etc.), external teams, and represents the organization to external partners and vendors. 7. Provide clear and consistent communication of project status both internally and with business partners. Effectively track and communicate project status, risks, issues, estimate versus actual hours, budgets and provide in‑depth status reports to Management, both orally and written. 8. Enforce the SDLC by ensuring all changes to production are controlled. 9. Provide project management leadership, guidance, and day‑to‑day execution support for IT projects, ensuring technology initiatives are executed on time, on‑budget, on‑scope, and with expected quality. 10. Assist team members in planning, estimating and controlling tasks. Manage “actual versus estimate” values created during the estimation phase to ensure tickets are delivered timely and to prevent cost overruns. 11. Captures and manages project risks/issues and the execution of risk mitigation/contingency plans and any necessary escalations. 12. Create or update policies and procedures as required. 13. Collaborate in a fast‑paced and quality‑oriented environment. 14. Monitor project metrics and key performance indicators to ensure project objectives are met pre and post implementation and report results to senior management. 15. Resolve project conflicts and blockers as they arise. 16. Manage relationships in a matrix environment to meet project goals and business requirements. 17. Escalate issues related to the output of projects to senior leadership as needed along with insight on recommended resolutions. 18. Responsible for status reporting, project scheduling, and risks/issues identification and mitigation. 19. Analyze, develop, prioritize, communicate and coordinate application changes to fulfill business objectives. 20. Provide enhanced technical and procedural support for application support issues as the need presents. 21. Develop and maintain standard project documentation (i.e., project plans, agendas, action‑item lists, and deliverables). 22. Participates in user acceptance testing of system enhancements and projects. 23. Conduct product spec reviews with key stakeholders to ensure requirements are complete and well understood. 24. Provide 24/7 support for mission critical software solutions such as digitalDONOR which is critical to recovery and call center operations. 25. Ensure Software Engineers and Business Analysts day‑to‑day work is in alignment with departmental and organizational priorities by direct communication and through regular maintenance of the ticket backlog. 26. Perform release management for all software deployments to production. Other Responsibilities 1. Responsible for representing OneLegacy and for providing customer service in a professional manner when working with staff and other customers/vendors. 2. Ensures that annual performance self‑evaluation is completed within company guidelines. 3. Required attendance at department staff meetings. 4. Performs all duties and responsibilities in compliance with safety guidelines, policies and procedures, regulations as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations, and other applicable federal, state and local laws. a. Performs quality control practices as defined by the policies and procedures. 5. Supports the organization’s Standards of Professional Conduct as outlined in the OneLegacy Policies and Procedures, and the mission, vision and values of the organization. 6. Maintains a neat and organized workstation and environment. 7. Performs other duties and projects assigned. Physical Environment/Working Conditions Location: OneLegacy Corporate office. All OneLegacy offices are non‑smoking facilities. Travel: The SPM I is occasionally required to travel by personal auto or air to meeting sites and other locations. Work Hours: Performs a forty‑hour workweek as determined by assigned shift. Assigned days and/or shift can be changed according to staffing needs. Must be available evenings, holidays, and weekends as required. Job Qualifications and Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree (BS) in related field from an accredited four‑year college or university or equivalent work experience. Experience: Minimum five years of IT/Software Project Management experience or leadership experience in a technical environment. Experience with software validation and implementation. Operations and Quality experience preferred. Desirable to have SaaS solutions experience. Certification/License: OneLegacy requires residence employees to maintain a current Driver’s License and have current vehicle insurance based on state minimum insurance coverage standards. PMP or CSM certification preferred. Requirement: Employee must be able to pass a local government agency (coroner’s office) background check. Equipment: Reliable automotive transportation required. Salary Range $118,554 - $151,156 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, OneLegacy considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
