Software QA EngineerWe’re looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to support our web and mobile products and services, and collaborate alongside Product, Development, and other members of the QA team.Responsibilities:Engage in both formal meetings and informal conversations with colleagues to gain a thorough understanding of the product's functionality and overarching purpose. Utilize these insights to develop comprehensive test documentation and strategy.Use documentation and networking tools to determine whether bugs are caused by the server or client.Identify and document clear steps to reproduce bugs and work with the team to prioritize test casesCollaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, and QA team to clarify inconsistencies between specifications, test cases, and product behavior.Make recommendations to improve product reliability, performance, and quality assurance best practices and processesExpand and improve automation scripts created in Maestro and Cypress frameworksInvestigate, troubleshoot, and enter reproducible application issues into JiraInvestigate and evaluate new testing technologies and products for web and mobile applicationsQualifications:3+ years professional experience of web and/or mobile testing for a consumer-facing productFamiliar with both manual and automation testingStrong experience with JavaScript and JiraExperience with Cypress and/or Maestro a nice to haveAPI expertise (REST) on how the client communicates to/from serversExperience maintaining and updating test plans/test suites in a very fast paced feature changing environmentBS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experienceLocation: Menlo Park, CAType: ContractDuration: 6-12 months, with possibility of extensionPay Rate: $45-55/hr.
