Position Summary
Kodak Moments is seeking a self-motivated Software Quality Engineer with strong automation experience to design, build, and maintain automated testing solutions for our software products. The ideal candidate will have experience with Python-based automation and Postman API testing. This role requires close collaboration with software engineers, product owners, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software through robust, scalable automated testing.
This position also provides leadership for automation initiatives by overseeing projects from concept through deployment; organizing and leading monthly automation strategy meetings; proactively researching and evaluating emerging automation technologies; and serving as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for automation-related needs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automated test suites using Python and related frameworks
Build and enhance web-based UI and API automation using Selenium WebDriver and Robot Framework
Create and execute automated regression and integration tests across multiple environments
Write and maintain scripts using shell scripting, Bash, Command Prompt, and PowerShell
Write and maintain scripts for Windows UI interaction and system-level automation
Write and maintain scripts for web-based UI (React) interaction and system-level automation using JavaScript and Postman or an equivalent tool.
Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and generate clear, actionable reports
Contribute to improvements in test strategy, test coverage, and automation architecture
Help identify areas for automation to improve efficiency and productivity
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation
Proficiency in Python for automation development
Experience testing APIs using REST Assured, Postman, or Python requests
Hands-on experience with:
Selenium and WebDriver-based automation
Robot Framework or Playwright for keyword-driven automation
Knowledge of scripting languages, including Bash, PowerShell, and AutoIt (or willingness to learn AutoIt)
Experience with AI-assisted testing or automation tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
Ability to use AI to accelerate test creation, analyze failures, or improve test coverage
Experience using Git or similar version control systems
Strong understanding of QA methodologies and software testing principles
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Desired Skills Knowledge of pytest, unittest, or similar Python frameworks
Familiarity with JIRA or other agile project management tools
Experience with GitHub and/or ClearCase
Experience designing and executing tests on devices that accurately represent the production install fleet, including OS versions, hardware profiles, and configurations
Experience running a peer review process for SQL database reports
Linux knowledge and command-line experience

Compensation : $90,000 - $135,000 annually, based on level of experience
