Software/DevOps Engineer - All Levels

Position Overview At Northrop Grumman, our employees work on revolutionary systems that impact the world. The DevOps Software Engineer will support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor, providing technical contributions and guidance to software products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Location Huntsville, AL. Basic Qualifications STEM B.S. degree (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) from an accredited university. Current active Secret security clearance at the time of application. Experience with the Atlassian tool suite and version control tools such as Git and Bitbucket. Experience working in a DevOps environment. Ability to neutrally assess and decompose open‑ended technical problems into action plans with defined success criteria. Experience developing modeling and simulation software or debugging complex systems. Experience with languages such as Python, MATLAB, C++, ADA, or JAVA. Experience with object‑oriented design, SOLID principles, or software design patterns. Must be able to support an in‑person / closed‑area work environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting missile defense programs such as GWS. Experience performing root‑cause analysis or forensic software analysis. Active Security+ certification. Salary Primary Level Salary Range: $72,700.00 – $276,100.00.
