You will support a multidisciplinary team of engineering, financial, and consulting professionals, delivering subject‑matter expertise in solar production estimating methodology. This role is a key contributor to the transaction solution team within Black & Veatch Infrastructure Advisory. The Team Work within a collaborative, employee‑owned environment dedicated to delivering innovative and efficient solutions in the utility infrastructure sector. Key Responsibilities Compile data from contracts and technical documents. Conduct data analysis and translate findings into written reports and presentations. Execute or review solar resource and yield simulation of PV power plants using PVsyst. Perform regression‑based forecasts of energy production using historical operational data. Provide quality reviews on production estimates for commercial and contractual use. Support project teams in discussing results with clients. Maintain an up‑to‑date understanding of industry best practices to ensure tools and processes reflect best‑in‑class offerings. Transfer knowledge and capabilities to improve others’ skill levels. Enhance working relationships with internal team members and client‑side management. Contribute to engagement‑level quality review. Ascertain and meet client expectations within scope of engagement roles. Develop applicable knowledge bases by applying best practices, outlining performance measures and business cases for efficiencies or added value. Industry Knowledge Capability Solid working knowledge of renewable energy technologies such as solar PV, wind, and battery energy storage. Experience with solar production estimating software is essential. Experience with plant engineering and design, inspections, outage assessment, portfolio budgeting, equipment condition assessment, capital project assessments, reliability/availability assessments, and financial analysis. Use specialized knowledge to produce moderately complex work products across multiple phases of an engagement. Apply appropriate methods or recognized equivalents to identify client needs. Anticipate and resolve technical problems with occasional assistance. Develop, present, and defend conclusions, recommendations, and implementation plans. Analyze and apply best practices across relevant industries. Management Responsibilities Individual Contributor Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience. 4+ years of experience in a business/consulting environment. Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements, including background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle record searches as required by law. Preferred Qualifications Engineering or other technical degree preferred; financial, economic, or MBA degrees considered if accompanied by relevant experience. Experience with solar production estimating tools, loss assumptions, and methodologies. Understanding of solar design and resource variability. Knowledge of solar Measure Correlate and Predict analysis. General knowledge of transaction engagement and due diligence lifecycle. Experience with data analysis tools such as Python. Business development capability. Advanced knowledge of renewable energy technologies, including solar PV and battery storage. Advanced consulting process knowledge. Human relations and collaboration skills. Multi‑software proficiency. Advanced PC literacy. Certifications Certifications related to the area of expertise are preferred where applicable. Work Environment / Physical Demands Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days based on manager discretion, performance, and assignments. Travel up to 25%.
