Position Overview:
The Solar Project Manager for Residential and Commercial Energy Storage Systems is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of solar energy projects with a focus on residential installations and energy storage solutions. This role involves coordinating various aspects of the project lifecycle, including financing, design, procurement, installation, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar energy systems, project management, and familiarity with residential energy storage technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for residential solar and energy storage installations.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and finance, to ensure seamless project execution.
Customer Engagement:
Communicate effectively with residential clients to understand their energy needs, present solar and storage solutions, and address inquiries.
Provide guidance on available financing options and oversee the financial aspects of each project.
Financing Management:
Collaborate with financial institutions and stakeholders to secure financing options for residential solar and storage projects.
Ensure compliance with financial agreements and manage documentation throughout the financing process.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
Source and negotiate with suppliers for solar panels, inverters, batteries, and other necessary equipment.
Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality products.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay informed about local, state, and federal regulations related to solar and energy storage installations.
Ensure that projects comply with all applicable codes, standards, and permitting requirements.
Installation Oversight:
Supervise the installation teams during the construction phase, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and address any issues that may arise.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Implement monitoring systems to track the performance of installed systems.
Generate regular reports on project status, key performance indicators, and financial metrics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience in project management, preferably in the solar energy industry.
Strong knowledge of residential and commercial solar and energy storage technologies.
Familiarity with financing models for solar projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Understanding of electrical systems and grid connections.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
