Delphi Healthcare is excited to announce an opening for a Solo Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Emergency Medicine. In this role, you will work independently, utilizing your advanced clinical skills to assess and manage patients in the emergency department. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, including assessments, diagnostics, and treatments.
- Perform procedures as needed, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Stabilize patients and manage acute medical emergencies effectively.
- Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and prevention strategies.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with regulations.
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with advances in emergency medicine.
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- State license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York.
- Experience in emergency medicine is highly desirable; recent graduates may be considered.
- Current certifications in ACLS and PALS are required.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
