Solutions Architect - Java (Client-facing) Foster City, California; Marlton, New Jersey; Remote, United States We’re looking for a Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Java and the JVM ecosystem to support our enterprise customers and help shape the future of Java development with JetBrains tools. In this role, you’ll engage directly with senior engineers and architects, help them solve complex technical challenges, and represent IntelliJ IDEA and our broader tooling with credibility and clarity. You’ll operate at the intersection of customers, Product, and Engineering - translating real-world feedback into meaningful product insights while helping teams build better software. About the role Demonstrate and position IntelliJ IDEA’s capabilities - code insight, refactoring, debugging, testing, and profiling - as differentiators in modern Java development. Advise on frameworks and tooling across the Java ecosystem, including Spring, Jakarta EE, build systems, testing, and persistence layers. Deliver technical workshops, demos, and customer presentations. Create high-quality technical content such as articles, sample projects, and presentations. Gather structured customer feedback and translate it into actionable input for Product and Engineering. What We’re Looking For Strong expertise in modern Java and JVM fundamentals (performance, memory, runtime behavior). Deep familiarity with Spring (Core, Boot, Testing) and the broader enterprise Java ecosystem. Experience with Maven and Gradle in complex build environments. Solid understanding of testing practices (JUnit, Mockito) and persistence technologies (JPA, Hibernate, Spring Data, JDBC, jOOQ). Experience designing REST APIs and working with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ. Hands-on experience with IntelliJ IDEA in large, real-world codebases. Understanding of AI-assisted coding workflows and developer-focused LLM tools. Strong communication skills and experience working with enterprise customers. Fluent English (written and spoken). Nice to Have Experience with cloud-native Java frameworks (Quarkus, Micronaut). Knowledge of reactive programming or distributed systems. Familiarity with other JetBrains tools. 3-5 years in a Solutions Architect or similar senior technical role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
