**Role : Solution Architect- Smart Metering (AMR / AMI)** **Experience : 15+ Years** **Visa : USC , GC, H1B & EAD's** **Duration : Longterm** **Location: Portland, OR (Onsite)** **Job Description :** **Key accountabilities** - Lead the overall solutioning of Itron AMR upgrade project for a utility customer - Ensure that system requirements are translated effectively into solutions, including review and assurance of Service Provider design documentation - Ensure that the solutions are implemented in a way that meets the original requirement - Resolve issues that lay behind the system requirements - Ensure that change request to requirements are coherent and that they integrate correctly with wider company systems - Ensure service providers meet the needs identified in the Change Requests in an effective and cost-efficient manner - Work with product vendor, partners and customer to ensure that their solutions are correctly designed and implemented - The handover of application process material and knowledge transfer to Design and Assurance function - Providing continuity of solution design and knowledge transfer - Coordinate with various stakeholders such as customer SPOCs, product vendors, partners and offshore team to ensure successful delivery of AMR project **Skills & Experience Essential** - 10+ years of experience in designing IT/OT architecture for Utility Industry covering areas of Smart Metering, Smart Grid, Communication networks and cybersecurity - Strong technology experience in Smart Metering (AMR / AMI) - Extensive experience in delivering solutions for utility customers preferably Gas Utilities - Experience in implementing Itron AMR products - Knowledge or experience in Itron Temetra product is an added advantage - Experienced in applying architectural tools and methods - Expertise in security standards such as NIST, NERC-CIP, ISO 27001 etc. - Good Knowledge of integration frameworks and API based integration design - A self-starting individual with a strong work ethic capable of planning and managing own time effectively. Ability to perform under pressure and to work using own initiative as well as part of a team - Creative problem solving and analysis skills with an ability to identify develop and implement solutions to gaps to meet the needs of the business - Excellent verbal and written (including presentation) communication, influencing and interpersonal skills - Able to build relationships and network at all levels - Able to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy
