Hourly Rate: $35.00 $50.00
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 for full-time

Position Summary

Under general supervision, the Sonographer performs professional duties in the application of ultrasonography services. The role requires proficiency in conducting all ultrasound-related exams and providing related patient care services. The Sonographer works independently while adhering to quality standards, demonstrating problem-solving skills, and maintaining patient-focused care in a multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process.

  • Accurately perform prescribed ultrasound examinations, including Abdomen and OB/GYN studies, in an efficient manner.

  • Critique exams independently and ensure high-quality image acquisition.

  • Store, transfer, and maintain ultrasound images according to department protocols.

  • Participate in on-call rotations as assigned.

  • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to provide optimal patient care.

  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and provide patient-centered care.

  • Uphold safety, quality, and compliance standards in all procedures.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of a JRCERT-approved school for Radiologic Technology with extensive training in Ultrasound or graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasonography.

Licensure / Certification:

  • RDMS or ARRT certification in Abdomen and OB/GYN or registry eligible (must complete certification within 24 months of passing Physics, Abdomen, and OB/GYN exams).

  • CPR certification.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in performing and interpreting ultrasound procedures.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
