- The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound procedures as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for the diagnosis of disease and injury.
- The job requires general supervision of a Radiologist or physician.
- The role includes performing ultrasound procedures in ambulatory and/or hospital environment.
- The job is for the weekend night shift from Friday-Monday, 7:00 PM-5:00 AM.
- The location of the job is at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in the Ultrasound Department.
- The role includes maintaining the production and quality of imaging procedures and ensuring patient safety.
- The Ultrasound Technologist prepares the patient and area for the procedure, and ensures all relevant documentation is obtained and maintained.
- The job requires adherence to safety requirements, infection-control, drug and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques.
- Technologists are expected to maintain medical imaging records according to department policies and standards.
- The role requires a HS Diploma/GED Equivalent and certification/license/registration in one of the following: ARRT-BS Breast Sonography, ARRT-S Sonography, Musculoskeletal Sonography, Reg Diag Med Sono-Abdomen, Reg Diag Med Sono-Breast, Reg Diag Med Sono-OB/GYN, Registered Vascular Sonographer, or Registered Vascular Tech.
