Overview Location: Glendale Heights, IL We have partnered with a growing manufacturer and distributor of raw materials used in both consumer and industrial markets that is making a reputation for their operational focus, strong customer relationships, and commitment to reliable, high-quality supply. Growing 10%+ YoY, they are looking to further strengthen their global supply base and looking to add a hands-on Sourcing Manager . This role owns direct and indirect sourcing , with a strong focus on international suppliers and import execution into the U.S. You’ll work closely with supply chain, operations, finance, and overseas partners to drive cost savings , improve supplier performance , and ensure uninterrupted material flow across raw materials, MRO, and supplies. Position Description Lead sourcing across raw materials, MRO, and indirect spend categories Develop and execute sourcing strategies that drive cost savings and supply continuity Manage international suppliers and support compliant, cost-effective imports into the U.S. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships using performance metrics and scorecards Partner with supply chain, operations, finance, logistics, and customs brokers to resolve issues and prevent disruptions Identify alternate sources and mitigate supply risk Maintain accurate supplier master data to support ERP, planning, and import compliance Actively use ERP systems to support sourcing decisions and continuous improvement Background Required Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 5+ years of sourcing experience (ideally pigments, chemicals, colorants, dyes, additives, etc.) with international supplier exposure Experience sourcing from regions such as India, China, South Korea or other global markets Working knowledge of import processes, customs clearance, and international freight ERP experience and comfort managing transactional detail Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills Miscellaneous Compensation: $110 - $120K + bonus.
