A licensed Special Education Teacher is needed to support an LLD (Language and Learning Disabilities) program at a school in Amherst, MA. This full-time, contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year. The role focuses on serving students with specific learning disabilities and communication impairments, requiring a professional skilled in both instructional leadership and individualized student support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the teacher of record for students in the LLD program.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals and support staff to ensure comprehensive academic and behavioral interventions.
• Provide differentiated instruction tailored to students unique learning needs.
• Maintain strong classroom management and foster an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching license.
• Proven experience working with students who have learning disabilities and/or communication impairments.
