Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Take on a rewarding contract position as a Special Education Teacher supporting young learners in a collaborative school setting for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. In this pivotal role, you’ll work as part of an Early Interventionist Team, engaging and guiding children aged 3-4, helping lay a strong foundation for their educational journey. This is a part-time opportunity—enjoy consistent daytime hours, working onsite approximately 4 hours per day, 4 days a week.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current Louisiana SPED Early Intervention (Birth-5) Certificate required
  • Demonstrated expertise or coursework in early childhood special education
  • Passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfort with collaborative, multidisciplinary teamwork
  • Experience delivering individualized instruction based on IEP goals

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement special education curriculum for preschool-aged children
  • Conduct assessments to identify strengths, needs, and appropriate interventions
  • Develop, adapt, and monitor IEPs in compliance with Louisiana guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with families, therapists, and other educators
  • Utilize play-based and research-backed strategies to engage young learners
  • Track student progress, provide feedback, and participate in team meetings
