Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for Special Education Teachers specializing in Life Skills to join a school setting in Cottage Grove, OR. This full-time, on-site contract position runs from August 24, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with specific dates subject to confirmation based on the district assignment.

Position Highlights:
- Teach Life Skills curriculum within a special education framework
- Manage a caseload at a single school site (to be determined)
- Work 37.5 hours per week in an engaging, student-focused environment
- Support students with diverse learning needs to foster independence and life skill development
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree required
- Valid Oregon Special Education teaching license
- Experience in special education, particularly Life Skills instruction, is highly desired
- Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, families, and service providers
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students goals
- Utilize adaptive teaching strategies to support student learning and growth
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly
- Participate in meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team approach
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies
