Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education Teacher role is available for the upcoming school year in Eugene, OR. This position focuses on supporting students in a Life Skills program within Lane Education Service District. The assignment runs from August 24, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with exact dates subject to the specific school district placement. This is an on-site, full-time contract role with a 37.5-hour work week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with life skills needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff
  • Monitor student progress and maintain compliance with local and state regulations
  • Provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree (BA) required
  • Valid Oregon Special Education teaching license
  • Experience working with students in special education, preferably in life skills programs
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively on-site within a single school setting
