Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding opportunity working full-time with elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in an engaging contract role, starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 25, 2026. This onsite position offers you the chance to create meaningful impact with a caseload of 2nd and 3rd grade children experiencing developmental delays or intellectual impairments.

You'll be based at a vibrant school, collaborating with a supportive educational community. Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00AM to 2:30PM, providing a consistent schedule to maximize your positive influence on students' academic and personal growth.

Ideal candidates will bring experience in school-based Special Education and hold an active Massachusetts license or certification in Moderate or Severe disabilities. Compliance with a CORI search and fingerprinting is required, but if you’ve previously cleared fingerprints for another employer in Massachusetts, a letter of suitability may suffice. Candidates should be comfortable working independently with students who need tailored instructional support, and collaborating as part of a team of dedicated professionals.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current Massachusetts certification for Moderate or Severe disabilities
  • Demonstrated experience working with children in a school-based setting
  • Strong ability to develop and adapt individualized education plans
  • Proficient in communicating with families, therapists, and educational staff
  • CORI check and fingerprints (or previous letter of suitability)

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement specialized educational plans
  • Monitor and document student progress towards learning goals
  • Foster an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
  • Collaborate with staff, families, and service providers
  • Maintain compliance with district and state special education guidelines

If you’re eager to make a difference in students’ lives and meet the above criteria, we’d love to connect with you! Apply now to schedule your Zoom interview and take the next step in your Special Education journey.

Compensation for this position ranges from $30.20 to $50.20. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
