Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Special Education, Speech-Language Pathology, or School Psychology with a valid TSPC license (SLPs may also be Board Certified)
  • Alternatively, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) with focused autism expertise are encouraged to apply if familiar with public education and special education settings
  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) working with students on the autism spectrum, spanning high-functioning to non-speaking learners across various ages/grade levels
  • Demonstrated proficiency in conducting comprehensive Autism evaluations/assessments
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
  • Current eligible licensure in Oregon

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on autism for K-12 teams, students, and families
  • Develop, implement, and monitor evidence-based interventions aligned to students’ needs
  • Conduct robust autism-specific assessments to measure student impact and progress
  • Consult with educators and school personnel on strategies, accommodations, and best practices
  • Support training and professional development initiatives throughout the district
  • Foster inclusive learning opportunities and help build understanding of autism spectrum differences
