Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A center-based behavior program is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students requiring intensive behavioral assistance and successful reintegration into general education classrooms. This position focuses on serving primarily students in grades K through 5, with a caseload of approximately 10 students.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with diverse disabilities, including Emotional/Behavioral Disorders (EBD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Other Health Disabilities (OHD), and Blind/Visual Impairments (BVI).
- Support reintegration efforts by collaborating with general education staff to transition students successfully throughout the school day.
- Manage a caseload primarily composed of 2nd-5th graders, accommodating K-5 as needed.
- Work within a high staff-to-student ratio environment alongside seven educational assistants to ensure individualized attention and support.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to foster positive behavioral outcomes and promote student progress.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction based on ongoing assessments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education.
- Valid Minnesota State Special Education licensure.
- Experience or interest in working with students who have a range of disabilities, especially in behavior-focused programs.
