Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher in Laurens, SC, working with elementary-aged students in a self-contained classroom setting. This contract position involves a caseload of 8 students, allowing for focused, individualized instruction and meaningful impact on student growth and development.

Location: Laurens, SC
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
Student Group: Elementary-aged, 8 students in a self-contained classroom setting

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Valid SC Special Education Teacher certification
  • Experience teaching elementary-aged students with special needs
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Passion for student advocacy and personalized learning approaches

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction to meet students unique educational and developmental goals
  • Create and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment
  • Collaborate with support staff, families, and administration to ensure cohesive care and education
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
