Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Early Childhood Special Education Teacher position is available in Haughton, LA, serving young learners aged 3 to 4 years. This itinerant role involves traveling between 3-4 school sites, such as homeschools, daycares, or Head Start centers, to provide specialized instruction tailored to each students individual education program (IEP).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with state and local curricula targeting diverse learner needs.
  • Leading IEP meetings in full compliance with special education regulations and maintaining rigorous progress monitoring of student goals.
  • Creating and organizing mobile learning environments using technology to encourage a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic documentation, submitting timely progress reports, and collaborating regularly with parents and community partners to promote student success.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Valid Early Childhood Special Education (SPED) Teaching Certification is required.
  • Experience working with young children in early intervention or special education settings.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple instructional sites.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for working with families and interdisciplinary teams.

This onsite position offers consistent hours, approximately 37.5 per week, from ASAP through May 19, 2026. It is ideal for a dedicated educator passionate about fostering early development and academic growth in young learners with special needs.
