Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A licensed Special Education Teacher is needed to support a Learning Language Disabilities (LLD) program serving students with specific learning disabilities and/or communication impairments. This full-time, contract position is located in Holyoke, MA, with a role focused on providing instructional leadership, implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and collaborating closely with paraprofessionals and support staff to ensure comprehensive academic and behavioral support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the teacher of record for students in the LLD program.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to individual student needs.
  • Provide effective classroom management and instructional planning.
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other staff to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate student progress regularly.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching license.
  • Proven experience supporting students with learning disabilities and communication impairments.
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation processes.
  • Effective collaboration and team communication skills.
  • Ability to manage diverse classroom needs and behavioral challenges.

Position Details:

  • Contract role running from ASAP through the end of the school year
  • Full-time hours
