This full-time Special Education Teacher position is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a high school Autism Support Classroom. Located onsite in Lansdale, PA, this contract role offers a structured environment where you can apply your expertise in special education to support students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support tailored to students on the autism spectrum within a high school setting
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to promote academic and social development
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents, staff, and administration
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and independence

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching License required
  • Emergency certification holders with strong special education experience will be considered
  • Prior experience working with high school students, preferably in an autism support classroom
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively and adapt instructional methods to meet individual student needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with families and staff
