Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a part-time Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs in a school setting located in Lockport, NY. This contract position focuses on delivering specialized instruction tailored to individual education plans, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure effective delivery of educational services.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support academic and social development.
- Utilize various teaching techniques and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
