Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher is needed to support the Extended School Year (ESY) program in Estes Park, CO. This part-time contract position runs from June 1 through June 25, 2026, offering approximately 14 hours per week with half-day shifts from 8:30 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday. This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and support to students within the district during the summer period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored special education instruction to eligible students during ESY.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with district staff.
- Utilize strategies that promote student engagement and progress within the half-day schedule.
- Collaborate with other educational professionals as needed to support student success.
- Participate in interview and onboarding processes remotely via Zoom with a panel format.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Services Provider (CDE SSP) license.
- Experience working with diverse students in special education settings preferred.
- Ability to deliver instruction effectively in a half-day, concentrated ESY program.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators and administration.
- Willingness to complete necessary district onboarding including fingerprinting and contract signing.
