Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher position is available for a summer school/Extended School Year (ESY) program in Bardstown, KY, designed to support a 7th-grade student in a moderate to severe disabilities (MSD) setting. This contract role runs from June 4, 2026, through July 31, 2026, with a consistent schedule of Monday through Friday, four hours per day, totaling 20 hours weekly. No weekends or holidays are required.
Key responsibilities include providing one-on-one specialized instruction and support tailored to the individual needs of a middle school student with moderate to severe disabilities. The role demands expertise in middle school education and experience working in an MSD setting to effectively deliver personalized learning strategies and promote meaningful academic progress.
Qualifications and experience:
- Current special education teaching license in-hand
- Proven experience in middle school special education
- Familiarity with moderate to severe disabilities (MSD) instructional practices
- Strong skills in individual student support and adapting lesson plans accordingly
