Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school in Soledad, CA, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to support students with mild to moderate special education needs in grades 3 through 5, starting in August.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to provide inclusive and effective instruction
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation and communicate regularly with parents and support teams

Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California teaching license with authorization in Special Education
- Experience managing a mild to moderate caseload, preferably with upper elementary grades (3-5)
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavioral support techniques
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative school team
