Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time position is based in the Benton, LA area, providing specialized early childhood special education services to young learners aged 34 years. The role involves traveling itinerantly between 34 school sites, including students' homeschool locations, daycares, or Head Start centers. This position is ideal for an educator dedicated to promoting individualized growth in early learners with special needs through hands-on instruction and close collaboration with families and community resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to preschool-aged children with individualized education plans (IEPs) across multiple locations.
  • Ensure full compliance with IEP requirements by leading and documenting meetings according to the special education calendar.
  • Conduct rigorous progress monitoring and maintain accurate electronic records on student goals.
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with state and local curricula, tailored to diverse learner needs.
  • Organize mobile and technology-enhanced learning environments to encourage engagement and academic growth.
  • Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, and community partners to foster a supportive educational experience.
  • Submit timely progress reports and maintain communication with all stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Early Childhood Special Education teaching certification is required.
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children in special education settings preferred.
  • Ability to manage a caseload across multiple sites with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in using educational technology and data tracking tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with families and professionals.

Location: Benton, Louisiana

Duration: Immediate start through May 19, 2026 (contract)
