Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A licensed Special Education Teacher is needed to support the Language and Learning Disabilities (LLD) program in a Massachusetts school setting. This full-time, contract role begins ASAP and continues through the end of the school year. The program serves students with specific learning disabilities and communication impairments, requiring a teacher who can provide instructional leadership and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the teacher of record for the LLD program
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals and support staff to deliver academic and behavioral support
  • Manage classroom environment and instructional planning to foster student success
  • Support students with learning disabilities and communication impairments

Qualifications:

  • Massachusetts Special Education Teaching License required
  • Experience working with students who have learning disabilities and/or communication impairments
  • Proven ability to develop and execute IEPs
  • Strong classroom management and instructional planning skills
  • Effective collaboration skills with educational teams

Location:

  • This position is based within a school environment in Westfield, MA (Springfield area)
