Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher position in a school setting, working with students in grades 3-5 in an Emotional Support Classroom. The role is a contract assignment located in Whitehall, PA, with a commitment through June 10, 2026.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must hold a fully active Pennsylvania teaching certificate specific to special education
  • Emergency teaching permits will not be accepted or sponsored
  • Experience teaching emotional support students, preferably within the 3rd to 5th-grade range
  • Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) effectively
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

Location: Whitehall, PA (serving a school district in the Allentown area)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction tailored to students with emotional support needs in grades 3-5
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to support student development
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior
  • Foster a positive and safe learning environment for all students
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to the planning of educational strategies

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM
  • 35 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
  • Position available ASAP through June 10, 2026
