Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available working with students in grades K-5 at a vibrant school located in Anoka, MN. This contract position focuses on providing specialized instruction and managing Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings for a caseload of 13 students. The role supports resource-based special education services tailored to meet each childs unique learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small group instruction aligned with student IEPs
  • Conduct IEP meetings and collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators
  • Monitor student progress through data collection and documentation
  • Participate in team meetings to develop and adjust instructional strategies
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education regulations

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification (Reading endorsement preferred but not required)
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children (K-5), ideally in resource settings
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and compliance
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to organize and manage a caseload effectively

Position Details:

  • Location: Anoka, MN
  • Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:10 PM; Wednesday from 7:30 AM to 4:10 PM
  • Includes a 30-minute lunch break and 80 minutes of planning time daily
  • Contract through the end of the school year
  • No assigned para or aide support provided
