Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support a center-based classroom serving grades K-3 in a Northern Denver suburb school located in Aurora, CO. The role focuses on providing specialized education to students with moderate to severe needs in a supportive environment with two dedicated paraprofessionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction to students in a center-based classroom (grades K-3)
  • Manage a caseload of up to 5 students, currently serving 3
  • Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals and school staff to create inclusive learning experiences
  • Utilize appropriate strategies for students with moderate to severe special education needs
  • Maintain compliance with education plans and documentation as required

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Teacher license required
  • Experience working with moderate to severe special education students preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with paraprofessionals and school administration
  • Effective communication and classroom management skills

Schedule and Contract Details:

  • Position start: ASAP
  • Contract length: Through Friday, May 29, 2026
  • School is currently on spring break; scheduling follow-up interviews will occur shortly
