Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time role offers the chance to work closely with a small, dedicated caseload of approximately 6-10 students diagnosed with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You’ll work exclusively in one building, creating stability and a supportive environment for your students.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching license with ASD or DCD endorsement (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Previous experience teaching or supporting students with developmental cognitive disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, ideally in a specialized setting
- Understanding of evidence-based instructional strategies, IEP development, and progress monitoring
- Strong collaboration skills to partner with related service providers, families, and fellow educators
- Empathy, patience, and a commitment to advocating for each student’s unique learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and individualized support to students in a Setting 3 classroom
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student’s goals and needs
- Employ specialized strategies and accommodations to support behavioral and academic growth
- Maintain consistent communication with families, offering updates and resources
- Collaborate with other staff to foster an inclusive, structured, and nurturing learning environment
- Uphold compliance with state, local, and federal special education requirements
This contract position begins August 31, 2026 and continues through June 4, 2027, with a 37.5-hour work week to allow for student, family, and teacher connections.
